Hi Houghy, Grabbed my Ha scope this morning at 10.45 am AEST. Saw the prom - it was faint but had a few looping parts over wide area around limb.
Thanks for info. John W.

the cloud is sitting right on the coast now - waiting for it to move in but I hope the seeing steadies - I want to get some of those sunspots, but the prom was exciting to watch

Hi David,

Caught the action this morning and was also able to get some images.
It all unfolded very quickly!

Richard.

Yes, David! look forward to your processed image.

It was quite something wasn't it

By the time I grabbed a imager and laptop it had sort of tapered off a little but at its peak it was stunning

This image was at close to 11 when it had quietened down considerably

By 1130 or so it was but a memory. A short lived but action packed event

Even better because the cloud and rain came over with a vengeance very shortly after !

Nice one David. I caught it at the same time as you and managed some close-ups but seeing condition above me were crap. Agree it was a beauty but short lived.

I missed it too... It looks nice. Actually at about that time I was caught in the rain without an umbrella so I didn't have a chance...
