Melbourne Tonight

Well tonight was a damn good night for viewing in Melbourne given the crap weather over the past weeks. Finally got to view Mars and it threw up some good surface detail with a hint of a polar cap. Saturn view was incredible and I counted six moons but I don't know if that is good or bad. Jupiter showed a lot of detail along with the GSR being very prominent. Yep, I am one happy little Vegemite

I completely agree! It's not just the clear skies but MaximDL is currently telling me I'm getting 1.1" seeing in 300s exposures and it's been steady like that for the past 2 hours.

Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the night progresses.
