Advice please: Lagoon nebula HaRGB or LRGB

Hi everyone,

I want to capture the Lagoon in its natural color (Pinkish red), Please advice if I should collect Ha + RGB or L + RGB. I have manage a good few hours each of Ha, S, O, R and G so far. Should I spent many hours on Luminance too ?

Thanks in advance
David

You can use the Ha as the luminance, or you could take some luminance images and blend the two - this might be a good idea if you wan to show up some of the little reflection nebs that lie in the area.

I'd try selecting the stars from the H-alpha to use as a mask, since these will be much smaller than in the L frames.
