Gum15 - Gumtree Nebula

I have reached the point where I am either being limited by my scope, or my intelligence.
Not sure which...

Tried and tried and really really tried hard to bring out the blue wispy bits, but to no avail (they went a hazy purple).

I have posted 2 earlier versions in Deep Space, but I feel they might be over my attempts

Stats:
Ha: 23*5m
Si: 62*5m
Blue: 104*5m

Total integration 16hrs.

Thanks for looking.

That looks great Peter, Gum 15 is on my list to do. I can see the blues in there but as you say it sort of molds itself into purple. the stars are a good indication to me of the amount of blue through out the picture.

Top effort.

Very nice Peter. Funnily I was imaging this last night in Ha, collected only ~4.5 hrs worth and may setup too take another Ha session tonight to add up the hours.

Doing some reading about the Gum 15, I was surprised there was little to no Oiii to capture. Now I know why folks either just do Ha & Sii or HaRGB. How was your assignment for Ha/Sii/B? I assume assigning them to RGB channels in that order?

Thanks Karl, Gum15 is not for the 'feint' of heart

Thanks Sean

You have given me an idea and hope.
Tonight I will grab the Green. That might pull the magenta toward the blue. Worth a try...

Channel assignment:
Ha to Red
S2 to Green
Blue to Blue

Great effort with plenty of data
Well done !
One observation was that all the images I’ve seen of Gum15 , the blue areas in the centre of this nebula are really really faint , you can just make it out with the majority of surrounding gasses Red Ha dominant
Maybe you pushed the core to hard in processing the colour bias ??
Still a great effort on a difficult and dim object
