NGC5128 or Centaurus A

Finally a new moon and a cloudless Friday night.
So I took the opportunity to image Centaurus A.
This is 180 subs of 60s each at ISO1600.

Mount: SWHEQ5 Pro
Scope: SW ED80
Imaging camera: Canon EOS M6 Mark II
Guide camera: ZWO ASI120MM mini
Software: SharpCap, APT, PHD2, Photoshop.

That’s a fine image for an 80mm scope and DSLR
Some nice detail exposed in the core
Colour is spot on
Well done indeed !!
Must have been a late one as Centaurus A doesn’t get up to a reasonable altitude until midnight or after
If you imaged it below 30degrees it makes the image even better dealing with low level atmospheric dispersion
Cheers
Martin

Ps I usually wait until March or April to image this object together with the big Glob Omega Centauri

Thanks Martin,
Yes I started on this on 1AM till 4AM.
This is a target I wanted to do for a while and when I noticed it coming up, I took the chance.
This will definitely not the last time I look at this one.
