Can be used with any smaller refractor. No "up front" ERF required......

Thanks Marc, Ken and David. Ken, the seeing was crap today, I took numerous files and this was the best out of the Lot, it was 200 frames. David, the Lunt B600 CaK filter looks the same as the H alpha blocking filters, and has the ERF installed in the drawtube end facing the objective. It can be used in scopes up to 100mm and the Cak filter is 6mm in diameter. You can also get them in 12 and 18mm. No other filters are needed. The ED80 is stock standard Orion.

Solar Calcium K 1st sept.

Hi Gus,
Nice pic of sun in this wavelength. Can you see the sun's image with your eye?
Any focusing problems? Thanks, John W.

Hi John, I can see the image visually, looks like a purple white light image and is easy to focus, but The CaK filters are designed for imaging use, and viewing visually below 400nm is not recommended, I usually view the image on a laptop.
