Jupiter in IR Longpass

1st attempt using QHY5L-II mono, frame rate issues and getting used to Firecapture. This is through RG610 Baader CCD filter, 200 gain, 30fps, 870 frames with best 50% (i think).

Processed with Autostakkert 2, Registax 6 and levels in PS.

Very quick and dirty, didnt spend long playing with settings.

Really happy with result!

Nice result Krishan, you will get more detail with more frames. At 30fps 50% @ 120secs will give you an even better image.

Thanks Phil, I was trying to keep capture times down, before figuring out the next night how to get 75 fps! but seeing was worse, will see how they process up.

I suspect ill have to use WinJUPOS with 120 seconds regardless?

Hi Krishan, very impressive! If I ever get more serious about astrophotography I know who to call! Any chance of popping over sometime to have a look at your set up?

Cheers

Richard

Thanks Krishan, as you know I work a lot of nights. Fingers crossed that our spare time coincides soon! I am pretty busy at the moment as we have a big show in.
