HEQ5 Pro goto mount

Hi,

Putting up my HEQ5 Pro goto mount for sale.
Rated capacity is 13Kg but ideal if under 11Kg.

It has the Synscan Hand controller (v3.2) with the Steel tripod
two 5Kg counterweights
12V DC Power adaptor
12V Cigarette lighter socket adaptor.

Mount is in very good condition, about a year and a half old. Only noticeable marks are a few on the counterweights and the saddle as in the pics.
Goto's are accurate, tracks well.
I've been using it with EQMOD and stellarium scope.

Pics attached. Below are 5 min guided exposures using this mount and an 8" F4 newt.
Looking for $900.

I'm selling as I just built a 10inch F4 reflector and need the EQ6 for my current payload.

I do have the box for the mount but not for the tripod and counterweights.
happy to ship at buyers expense.

Cheers

Does your mount come with a southern hemisphere reticule for the polar alignment scope and southern hemisphere software for the goto?

Hi Peter,
I've never really looked through the polar scope, but I'll check and let you know.
I think it has both patterns, will check.
Yes, southern hemisphere Goto's work fine once you have entered your lat/long/date/time and done a 1, 2 or 3 star alignment. That's standard for these mounts.
Accuracy would be better with the 2 or 3 star alignment.

Thanks Alistair - would I be able to have a look at your mount? I could drive to Box Hill.
Cheers Peter
