spacing questions (again)

I have a scope with 56mm optimum back focus from a corrector. I need an adaptor machined to screw fit to the corrector then I want to try my CCD rig on it-currently it is with a DSLR so no real spacing headaches.
I have an older model FLI 8300 mono, an adaptor perhaps 10mm or less to SX USB fW and baader 36mm unmounted filters then it will be the adaptor to corrector.
I am sure some one out there has tried this or similar before and would love some advice on this before I go to precise parts and machine yet another adaptor.
The focal plane of the camera is clearly marked but I am unsure about the FW plus filters and the adaptors. (perhaps 33mm with both adaptors fitted-according to SX website)
FLI is 16mm I think
so If I aim for 31mm + 16mm =47mm I can ask for a 9mm adaptor and hope this is ok?
Or should I go shorter and add spacers (?where) just in case?
