Qantas bids farewell to last 747 jumbo jet

Sadly I only flew once in one of these aircraft .. just a transit flight from Sydney to Melbourne.

Oh ... and I was call morbid because I love watching Air Crash Investigations .. go figure.

Our 747 flight

QF2 LHR / SYD / MEL via Bahrain and Singapore. Departing LHR November 6th 1982, one way. The best decision I have ever made.

I was in Longreach last week for work. Here's the 747 parked at the Qantas founders museum. I only had one flight in these too - from Hong Kong to Taipei. Needless to say, it was packed solid.
