Focussing Aid for dSLR's

Hi all,

When doing wide angle astrophotography, as I am practising at present, I find focussing the most difficult part. Each star becomes such a small feature in the frame that focussing is really difficult.

I just found this @ Gizmag and I am keen to purchase one. Neat-o huh?

Looks a good idea for DSLR video work as the article states - and good for the Nifty Fifty with its shocking tiny focus ring. Nice idea being able to mark on focus points too. Go for it Michael - you're the guinea pig so to speak!
Worth a punt - I wonder how fine the focus ability for astro work is though?

One thing to consider though is whether the focusing aid may get in the road of any dew heaters that you may have installed.

Just something to think about.
