First real attempt at Milkyway

Hi Guys - well its been a whopping 5 years since I posted here! Thanks to Mike the site is still thriving!

This is my first real attempt at shooting the Milky Way

Canon 500d unmodded 15 x 30 sec at ISO 3200 using a Rokinon 10mm f2.8 ED lens

Paul,

really nice image.

The 10mm f2.8 really grabs a huge part of the sky.

I have the same camera and a 17mm lens, gives great results.

Thanks! Yes so much easier to image with a wide lens. I could of stretched the signal a bit more but I was battling light pollution so thought I would leave it as natural as possible.
