Sigma AF 70-200mm F/2.8 Ex DG lens

Happy New Year All.
Has anyone tried one of these Lenses ?
I know its probably not as good as a canon, but is a whisker under $900
at Teds cameras.

regards

Ted's Camera's has certainly got some of the best prices going at present
they wanted nearly $1200 for that one 4 months ago

I was tossing up between the sigma & a 70-200 F4L & went for the canon
I always wonder what the sigma would have been like, it being F2.8

It has fairly good reviews here: http://www.photozone.de/Reviews/canon-eos

I've used one... unless you are REALLY REALLY picky, you wont notice the difference between the sigma 70-200 2.8 and the Canon 70-200 2.8L...

The canon one is much more reliable in terms of focus accuracy, and just that hint sharper at 2.8, a little more contrasty depending on the conditions... but overall, its much of a muchness....

Stopped to F/4~F/8 its almost impossible to know the difference between them.
