I am new to this forum, in fact I signed up just yesterday, but living in Spain I feel if I am gate crashing the party a bit, but you have such wonderful objects to image down-under I couldn't resist.
Recently I have started imaging remotely via iTelescope at Siding Springs and attached are two flavors of NGC6188 taken in norrowband with iTelescopes T12 telescope. 6hrs total integration 24 x 300s for each of Ha, OIII and SII, processed in PI and PS.
Truly spectacular, detailed images, Dave. Do Atik have OSC versions of this camera? Am about to buy a new astro camera but am trying to avoid buying a monochrome camera as I am a newbie to astro-imaging!
Hi Dave, this is a field that is hard to take a bad shot of, the subject matter is so feature packed and fascinating. I guess remote hosting data can be a convenient option, both versions look bueno
Thanks all for your kind words. Richard, yes ATIK do make a OSC version of the 383L+. Living in Spain remote hosting is my only option for imaging some of the southern objects, its not cheap but is cheaper than jumping on a airplane with all my kit.....
Welcome to the forum Dave and compliments on the excellent renditions of the fighting dragons. I’ve been fiddling a bit with the iTelescope facility myself actually. It is a very practical resource I agree.
Thanks Colin and Rodney for you kind words, I always try to do HOO and SHO versions as some times it works and times it dosn't.
I spent a long time researching remote telescopes and iTelescope came out on top on all fronts, they are very very good and have some superb telescopes.
