using solar filter material with a camera

I just am curious about what sort of shaped frame I should make for the badar solar filter material that I will be using for my cameras during the eclipse (they will not be used with a telescope).

My video camera is a panasonic SDR-S7 and my normal camera is a panasonic lumix (DMC-LZ5).

As a note, I plan to keep the video camera on a tripod, making sure to keep the sun in view (and remove the filter during totality), so a way to keep them attatched would be nice too.

I made a solar filter for my old panasonic dv camera using the lid from a spray can. Just cut a hole and fit the filter to the inside. It was just the right size to make a snug fit over the lens.
It also fits perfectly over my 50mm finderscope.
