New Canon gear incoming

For those who are interested in terrestrial photography, Canon announced the development of a new camera line, the R3

Back illuminated sensors finally (QHY and ZWO owners of the newest cameras will appreciate this! It's incredible tech), and eye control AF. I still have an old EOS 5 sitting upstairs that used eye-control AF and it worked incredibly well.

Also are some very expensive lenses. RF lenses are nuts in terms of price, but in fairness these RF L series lenses are sharp sharp sharp

Thanks for the link Adam

I also saw a piece on dpreview covering the R3 and potentially an upcoming R1 here ....https://www.dpreview.com/opinion/093...traffic_source

I'd be curious to known if they will include a pixel shifting high resolution mode to cancel the effects of the Bayer sensor, like Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, Hasseblad, Pentax etc have already done. Come on Canon ..... and Nikon..... (The cynic might say that they can't make 'em too good or they won't sell the next model up the chain or next release)

Best
JA
