Hi Kuz have you tried these without the filter? If you're using the 294 pro I'd be inclined to just go naked on this one as I think it's made for galaxies.
You've picked up some nice Ha in the spiral arms but it looks like a reversed M83 to me.
Either way, it turned out well Kuz and you're getting plenty of time in imaging over the last few nights. Well done.
Interesting attempt, blues are are a bit neon. Just needs to be dialed back a little on the saturation maybe. A point of order also, the galaxy is M83 not 33.
Keep at it , only always gets better with practice and perseverance.
For some reason sometimes when i download my image to ice in space. The colours look totally different to what's my computer and much clearer. When this happens my dxf file show up as 0 bytes. I also used darks from another filter .
I understand that sometimes when images are uploaded, that the colour seems to change, happens to my planetary images, they seemed to come out more yellow for some reason. Has it got anything to do with our monitor calibrations I don't know but others don't seem to have a problem so It must be my old eyes.
All in all it is still a better M83 than I've ever produced, I notice that you used an Optolong L-pro filter. Does that effect the colours at all and is the light pollution in Gladstone bad enough to need the filter. Guess if you live near the port that it may be bad.
