Thanks guys. I must admit much of what I submitted in this year's Malin's
were incomplete projects. (due fire, flood, pestilence etc.)
I had pinned some hope with
this image taken with my AP130GTX
Which did get a highly commended...but I personally preferred it over the winning entry.

As to a RC16 not being a planetary 'scope.
In theory... sort of...and some may bang on about MTF's etc. But my experience is: aperture still rules.
I recently acquired the new QHY462 OSC camera...amazing IR response.
It will be interesting to see how it goes on the planets...
