Congo Milky Way

Saturn rising over Congo Beach with Jupiter above the Milky Way.
Not as much colour as I would like but can't get that data now.

Some untracked short double stacked images assembled in ICE and smoothed in PS.

Love the portrait one Ray, the reflection of Saturn on the water and the Milky Way above sets the mood, very peaceful.

Congo is an relatively unspoiled part of the coast, hope it stays that way. Lovely nightscapes Ray, it's like taking in the night sky visually from dark locations, can never get enough and can observe for hours appreciating the beauty of it all.

Congo has a coast ?
I don't think so, it is a large landlocked country in central Africa.

I have a feeling Jeff may have been referring to Congo Beach in NSW.

Yes , I was referring to Congo Beach, where Ray had taken the images, not the African Congo, though I'm sure they have dark skies there too.

Thanks Jeff and Michael. A great spot with a stretch of untouched coast clear to Tuross. It was the only clear part of the week in dark hours and arrived at 4am. Hard to get things together at that time in a southerly.. I thought ‘Congo Beach’ would cover the location.

Here is a similar shot in Cape Range NP WA with a setting new moon
