Collimated?

Hi,

I tried collimating my 6 inch SCT with a Hubble artificial star. It was seriously out of collimation as I had removed the secondary and corrector.

Image is of the final result using a ZWO 290 MC binned 2 by and a 4 by Televue barlow and stacked in Autostakert.

If it gives better stars then I might try it on my Edge HD 9.25.

At the very least the hubble makes rough and just outside of focus collimation very easy as the star doesn't move around.

Cheers
Paul

Thanks, I think you are both correct. I will try the 9.25 tonight. To me it looks like it may be a good tool as I don't have a permanent setup, so I can tinker at home and get a good collimation before I go out in the field.

Here's hoping anyway.

Cheers
