Had a car accident today

Myself and our 2 kids are fine, and that is what matters - Nissan built the Murano bullet proof - unfortunately, the Toyota Corolla driven by the other party faired VERY poorly (write-off) though she is unscathed too.

Will fill in details later, trying to calm my nerves somewhat.

If anyone gives me grief for needing to sell some telescopes to cover some out of pockets (though I am comprehensively insured), you'll get grief back

Glad it has turned out this way .... car accidents are quite traumatic and can leave you shaking for a long time afterwards.

Phew, glad you're all ok. Take it easy on yourselves for a week or so, no stress. It's surprising how shock can sometimes take a while to manifest.
I was a week before I found out I'd damaged my back, fortunately not permanently but I was so wound up that until I relaxed the pain was masked by other things.

Everything seems fine.

Anyway, main thing is no one was physically hurt. My peptic ulcer kicked into over-drive and gave me little sleep last night.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts.

Had a minor accident last trip to Turkey (my wife's Turkish)
They are mad drivers. Every man, woman and child for themselves. So I have consigned myself to the fact I'm going to die on a Turkish road. Hope the government flies my body home for burial.

woo milestone post

As in you can't keep your eye on the road or the girls can't drive.
My ex used to say I had a swivel neck. Maybe part reason she's an ex.

Some years back, I drove a car in Penang Malaya ... what a challenge that was...had one tourist yell at me ' Welcome to the Jungle ' .

Everyone was ' beeping ' their horn ...absolute mayhem.....
I doubt a car wasn't considered roadworthy if its ' horn ' didn't work .

Flash........

Glad you and the family are okay, Lewis! It's scary enough having to slam on the breaks suddenly etc to avoid an accident, let alone actually be in one! Take care of yourself mate
