Night Wanderers (2012 DA14 + Meteor Train + Satellites Timelapse)

Had a great night east of Perth viewing 2 comets, the asteroid and a beautiful fireball that left a persistent train. Amazingly, the fireball passed right through the same field of view as the asteroid, and I managed to capture both in the same 50 mm frame.

I've processed the 1st still frame and first pass timelapse. The timelapse is best viewed full screen. In addition to the asteroid (bright object to the left and moving down screen), and meteor train, there are numerous small slow moving satellites, presumably at similar altitude to the asteroid.

https://vimeo.com/59831086 (please click on the video - it's worth watching )

More details in the vimeo description.

Thanks for looking.

Hey Colin
Just saw the animation - absolutely breath taking - DA14 plays third fiddle for sure - train, fire ball and then rock!
That is an animation for the ages!

Fantastic, as per the norm, mate!

You have an incredible amount of luck -- geysers, moonbows, aurorae -- not to mention the whole skill thing!

Keep 'em coming.
