Ngc2835

NGC2835 was probably too small and faint to attempt from the suburbs of Brisbane, but I persisted through the very few clear & windless nights I could get over the last 6 weeks.

Good work. Small, low surface brightness. Nice detail.

Good job on this one. It's not a galaxy with which I'm familiar.

Cheers

Steve

Might be a bit faint for shooting through LP close to a city like Brisbane, but you've done well. I don't trust reported surface brightness much, but DSO Browser puts this at 14 which is getting quite dim, I probably wouldn't have even tried it without dark skies, so I think that just makes your results all the more impressive. The 1100 HD should be large enough though, I doubt you'd be getting much better resolution anywhere in Australia with a bigger scope... I go after smaller things with my measly 840mm refractor :-)

Great image Adam, nice job I love this galaxy, it is on my list of potentials for this time of year....too many objects not enough time....

If I dont get to do it myself, I will just come back for a look at yours a few times!
