Yet Another Carina

5 x 1 minute (I think... what have I done with my notes??) exposures at 1600ISO via an 8" GSO Newtonian / NEQ6 on a Canon 60D

Not sure why some of the stars are showing an extra diffraction spike.... almost like a Bahtinov mask.... which i wasn't using of course.

Good shot...
As for extra spikes, once I had a laundry dryer wire in optical path (I didn't see it in the dark , it became obvious only later.... and it was also eta).

Nice result , I can vouch for the 60d it really does produce the goods for a dslr. Well done, I like the colours too. Stars look cool. Tracking seems good too for 1minute exposures. I struggle to get 40sec from my newt!

Nice detail you've got in this. The core looks fantastic. A well balanced image and the colours do look great.
