New CCD Camera from MyAstroShop

Hi all,
Just trailing a new camera from MyAstroShop... It is the G-Series from Moravian Instruments. Given it a quick go and it is fantastic ... Unfortunately like all new equipment , the clouds have come in and I am unable to use it.

Have a look at the attached web site and see some of the first images with the camera and as more images come, I will post them.

Nice cameras, Robert. Maybe not as flashy looking as the new SBIG's, but how do they compare price wise?? The test piccies look pretty good and it'll be great to see some more taken of other targets.

How noisy are those fans?? With two in the back of the G3 series, you'd think it'd sound like a plane taking off!!!.

What size filters does it take...looks like 50mm.

What weight are they??

QE, well depth??

See, lots of questions

G2-8300 OSC (1791 Euro) $2700

G3-11000 mono (4157 Euro) $6270
G3-11000 OSC (4157 Euro) $6270
G3-11000 mono with filter wheel (4365 Euro) $6581

Steve has the web page for the Moravian Instruments up now. His pages look good.

He has included rough prices... I say rough because he works them out with the Euro to AUD for quotes.
