Space Invaders... they're back!

Yup my first intro to electronic games in the early 80s and they are back with a vengeance.

Somewhat addictive and retro. At $29 from KMart you get the console with the Joystick that plugs the game straight into the AV of your TV. Kinda feels like the old days. Came up well on my 65 inch, though I suggest you buy a M/F AV extender from Jaycar ($10 for 3m) and then you can sit comfortably way back on your lounge and start pulling your hair out as the little buggers come quicker and quicker.

OK I'm still stuck on level one...

Great XMas present. Be quick they are selling like hotcakes apparently.

I got one and have to say it’s very good for such a low price. Has all the features of the original game. Highly recommend it 😍

That's awesome, but if I bought one I'd never get any work done.

I spent many a "twenny" cent piece on spacies back in the day.

There's a hotel in Tweed Heads that has an old arcade hall - I played my first real game of space invaders there in a long time recently. And Galaga too.

I'll be keeping an eye out for one of these !

There is something spesh about playing it on the big tv screen (65inch) and oh the joy of the Joystick!
Kmart had a heap including Frogger, Wrestlemania, Streetfighter2 all $29 .

Now who can beat me and get past 3300 points and level 3...... grrrr

Galaxian and Galaga were my games. I have MAME and play them from time to time. There's a Space Invaders in there somewhere, too ...
