That's a beauty! Love that handle. I've been thinking of doing something like this to track the IIS.

Wow very nice work, Lewis ! And even more surprising is to see a corrector of that vintage with MgF coatings in excellent condition.

BTW Lewis, from those photos I still think the mak is a Rumak with a cemented secondary, which was the norm on the Intes scopes. Are you absolutely sure it wasn't ?

Col, look after that scope, you have a unicorn.

It is a 100% silvered spot. Nothing cemented to anything. I took the corrector off to clean it and repaint, so I have a very good idea what is there.

I was told by Intes it is rarer than a Santel

Looking good Col,

You must be over the moon about your new acquisition!
Looks like Lewis has done a great job again.
That star diagonal must be original (haven't seen one like that before)

Enjoy

Now thats a scope Col.. Lewis and Matt did a great deed..indeed!

You can do and see an AWEful lot with a 6 inch Maksutov, and on a big range of objects...eats most any doubles worth watching for breakfast!

The SW BD 150mm one I currently have routinely goes to 450X in good seeing ..doesn't break a sweat!
I expect more of this Russian beauty!
Look forward to your reports too.
bigjoe.
