DSI not focusing

I recently got a DSI imager from my teacher to play around with at home but when I try to focus it on Saturn, I have to turn my focus knob all the way in and it still doesn't focus right. I asked my friend and he said that I needed a barlow lens or a focal reducer but didn't know which one. Can anyone help?

You need an extension tube to give you the correct back focus. If you have access to a Barlow, unscrew the the lens part of it and you insert it between the camera and telescope. Living the lens in how ever may prove beneficial when imaging planets.

What scope are you trying to use the DSI in? How are you attaching the DSI ?

Different scopes will have different reasons for not getting focus....
