Comet Lovejoy a Little Late

Hi All

A bit late loading up these images. Taken last Saturday 20th December. I ran two cameras at once on the Losmandy, a mono SBIG CCD through the RC10 and a Canon 6D DSLR for wide field using a 400mm lens.

Total exposure for both images was 14 x 5 minutes all stacked in DSS. Some artefacts present from stacking the higher mag images from the RC10.

A larger version of the DSLR colour image can be found at my Onedrive URL here:

Larger Comet Lovejoy Colour Image Use the magnifying glass to get it to full screen size.

Thanks for looking
Ted

Nice one Ted, both exception images. You should turn the mono shot into an animation as it looks like you got a lot detail there, but the tail motion has blurred it.

Thanks. Yes I plan to revisit the data for animations. That is the nice thing about comets, so many ways you can slice and dice
