Living 'robots' designed using evolutionary algorithms on a supercomputer

Researchers have used the Deep Green supercomputer cluster and an
evolutionary algorithm to design new life-forms that could achieve an
assigned task. Then they built them by combining together different
biological tissues from Xenopus laevis embryos, the African Clawed Frog,
hence the name Xenobots.

Wow..
A friend of mine mentioned once that we are probably one of the last generations of humans that will die... because in the future, thanks to genes manipulations, people will live forever young and healthy.

My coment was "yes, but only rich people"
