Lost my flickr photo account

I tried to sign in to my flickr Astronomy photos today:

It tries to get me to sign up with Yahoo mail
& when I use a working Yahoo mail account I don't get
an email to ask for my password etc.
The log in page just goes around and around in circles
& gets me no where.


Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes that was one of the pages.

If you are using Chrome, clear your cache. Chrome is bloody useless with secure logins and you should clear its cache weekly at best.

Use Firefox if that doesn’t work. I usually do

Just checked my Flickr login, in PaleMoon, with adblockers active.
Logged in without any problems whatsoever.
With how easily I logged in, there's some things I'm wondering.
Did alpal update his Flickr password after Verizon sold Flickr to SmugMug?
Was alpal trying to login using his Yahoo Mail password?

Thanks Guys - I'm back on to flickr.


It took about 100 attempts and I had to use an old yahoo mail
inactive account because the login required flickr to have full access to that account -
which was obviously shocking for any security but
I accepted as that account had no emails in it.
I ended up with different passwords that I had to make and it
was an hour long process.
Yesterday flickr wasn't accepting that my Hotmail account used to sign up originally - even existed
even though all my flickr emails came through that for 11 years
and I had had an email there from flickr the day before.


What a lousy waste of time
but anyway - I'm back on.
I hope other people don't have to go through that but I bet they will.
You wouldn't think it was 2019 - what a mess!
