Does AZ-EQ6 have USB port on mount?

I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on a new SkyWatcher AZ-EQ6 mount....do these have a USB port on the mount similar to the current model EQ6R Pro? I’m aware one can connect USB via the HC, but not sure if there is one on the mount itself.

I have 2 x EQ6-R mounts , the 2018 model has the conventional handcontroller port on the mount and the later 2019 model has the USB port
Both mounts are direct connected from laptop to mount ( handcontroller removed ) one has a EQ shoestring cable ( RJ45 to USB2A ) the other uses a USB2A to USB2B cable
Connecting from the laptop to the handcontroller is called PC direct and is not the recommended way to control the mount. The recommended way is EQ Direct ( Laptop to mount with handcontroller removed )
I’m pretty sure the new latest AZ EQ6 mounts have the USB2B socket , just check with your supplier or vendor to confirm
I have procedures to control the mount from the laptop via EQMOD ( mount control ) and Stellarium ( planetarium) both free downloads
Cheers
Martin

Thanks Martin, that’s really useful. I’ve got an ASIAIR Pro which I’ll use initially until my imaging requirements become more complex. I’ve read many of your posts here....thank you for your support of newbies like me!

Yes the new Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 mount dose indeed have the USB port on the mount.
I have one of these so can confirm that part at least.
Martin's procedures are spot on and well worth reading thorough, has helped me out heaps and very much appreciated.
