Top notch image, Bob! Very nicely done indeed. The shrubbery in the foreground adds a nice touch also, in my opinion.

Hey thanx Eden, at 1st wasnt sure about the shrub encroaching into the shot, but wanted to grab the stair landing, became used to it and minimized its presence just to the edge and went with it

Thanx Dunk, quality might not be 'upto scratch' tho the resulting view is like from a window, in a sense.

Very nice. A lttle bit of star trailing starting to appear but that is due to the exposure length. 30 sec is the maximum if you don't have an EQ mount.

Hey the important thing is, you're out there and experimenting. You can only improve.

It's true most of the time. I know that with my Nikon D700 at 24mm I can only do 25-30 seconds. With a good wide angle of 12-14 mm however I know I should have no problems reaching the 40-45 seconds without any star trails. I don't have a wide angle so I have never tried it but it works mathematically.
