A solar system medley

Here’s a collection of images captured under some quite good seeing conditions in Brisbane, over the last 2 nights and one from this morning.

Mars and Saturn were captured using an ASI224MC CMOS camera with a TeleVue x2 PowerMate.

The two wider lunar scapes were taken with a TeleVue x2 PowerMate and the Clavius region with a TeleVue x4 PowerMate which was a tad too much focal length – an x3 PowerMate might have got away with it. All with the ASI 174MM CMOS camera.

Sunspot AR 2546 17th May 2016 with a TeleVue x2 PowerMate and ASI 174MM CMOS camera.

All with a Tak 180mm F12 Mewlon.

Cheers

Dennis

EDIT:
Whoops – almost forgot the Moon – Jupiter close conjunction on Sunday. Taken with Canon 7D Mk II and 400mm F5.6L and x1.4 Extender.

Well done Dennis the lunar shots (especially) are stunning, just like gliding from above

Thanks Dunk, it was a busy couple of nights, followed by even longer hours of data processing!

Thanks Rick, at times I wish the Mewlon was at least a 250mm or 300mm instrument!

Thanks Derek, the 180mm F12 Mewlon is an excellent grab and go ‘scope that settles down quite quickly.

Cheers

Dennis
