Far away through the mist

With all the images being produced of NGC6193 and NGC6188 of late, I thought I would join the mix with a high res image of this field taken with the RC12. I have always wanted to do a close up of this region after having done several wide field images of this field. There is so much going on within the main area and I really like the way the clouds jut out in places. It reminds me of part of the Lagoon or Carina nebulae.

The image is constructed of Ha OIII LRGB. It is a more traditional looking palette with the addition of the Ha and OIII to the mix.

It’s very reminiscent of one Lee did recently of this area but the added Ha and OIII helps. Very well presented

Excellent - really love the high-res version and the star colours are gorgeous too.

I've always liked this framing Paul. It really gives an "over the hill, what is beyond" type of look to the image.

Nice!

Nicely rendered. You've caught the Stallion at the nebula's core well.
Not sure about the "misty" look around the bright o-type stellar association, but it gives the image some appeal.

I like using Ha and OIII in creating a more or less true colour image with RGB data, best of both worlds, nice work Paul.

Hi Paul,
I really love this image.

A new fresh and extremely pleasing rendition. I guess the addition of O3 to the HaLRGB creates the special ethereal feel of this image highlighting the foreground structured details beautifully with the contrast provided behind.

Very very well done!
Congrats!
Tim
