My new best M31

I can't image M31 from my home so I drove out to Kurrajong armed with my Evostar 70mm scope, Vixen GP mount and Canon 6D. Some smoke about so happy with the outcome.

Nice. Considering the altitude M31 gets to for us here in Sydney and the other difficulties that's a great result.

Thanks Pete. It has always been a favourite of mine. I love showing it to visitors to Crago Observatory - naked eye and then through binoculars.

Really nice Richard. I did this one from astrofest as it's a bit higher. I had it at the zenith during my holiday in France. Didn't get any clear sky good enough to have a go though.

It was in East Kurrajong, just north of Bells line of Road.
