Moonrise over the Pacific from Himawari 8

Found this by accident while browsing through cyclone Ann data. I thought it was pretty cool.

Received with a 2.3 metre dish in the backyard, Novra S300D DVB-S2 receiver.
Himawaricast via Jcsat2B.

Astrobin is about the same size. ---> https://astrob.in/406101/0/

Careful what you wish for an Cat. 5 cyclone is not something I'd want to see. They may look spectacular from above but the effects at ground level aren't so pretty. Being in central coastal Qld I'm sure you're aware of a cyclones affect.
All the same it is a stunning image, team that up with the earthrise image over the lunar horizon from the Apollo era and you would have a great pair.

Thanks Jeff. I only wish to see a cat 5 from a distance. But I do find them fascinating to watch, from a god's eye view.
