Well, ordered my Canon 40D today, pick it up tomorrow!.

Decided on the 70-200mm f4L and the 50mm f1.8 lenses, plus the 18-55mm f4
that comes with the 40D body. Should be enough to cover every possible subject.

spare battery, CF memory cards, a bag, filters etc. it starts to add up!

My mistake, it's only the 50mm f1.8 not the 1,2 - BIG difference in price!
The budget is already blown out enough
