Daniel,

I am sure you will be welcome, just let Malcolm know you are coming.
If you are coming with equipment there is a small fee for using place & power point, and of course if you are staying overnight, make sure accommodation is still available.

Hi Daniel - anyone who has an interest in astronomy is welcome. If you don't have gear of your own you will have the opportunity to look at, and look through, what others have (a great way to start and get some good advice if you don't yet have your own gear). As Bojan suggested, contact Malcolm for all the details wrt registration etc. Hopefully we will see you there.

Paul

Thanks heaps guys for the reply, I have attached a photo of my recently built 18”, I also have a 12” skywatcher I will be bringing. I usually just use these at home in Melbourne. I do have a bit of light pollution from street lights right next to my house, bringing these to a dark site star party would be amazing. How do I contact Malcolm to let him know?

Thanks guys. I hope to see you there.

Speaking of SVAC, have registration forms gone out? I have not seen them, I will be up for two nights with my young bloke again.

Daniel, Malcolm will probably spot this anyway. To answer my own question, I assume that registration is not open yet as normally the forms are in the first post.

Hi guys
Will send them out this week, just wanted to touch base with Andrew (the camp manager) but he has been overseas for while and has just arrived back.
I am in middle of moving house to our new place, so may not be super quick at replying to enquiries over next couple of weeks.
Daniel, look forward to seeing your 18"!!

Malcolm

Can anyone shed someight in the event at Nhill?
I think I'm missing the memo where to go looking for events.

Super keen for Snake Valley, lot of interested members means a good event.

Nhill is run by the Astro Society of Vic and the South Aust Society as a joint event. Website is here https://vicsouth.info/vicsouth.htm

Well I should have not said a word, I wont be making it this time, as my manager has been off work since July and doesn't look like he will be back till December.

Registrations

Hi guys
As some of you may be aware, we have moved now to our new abode in Geelong. Finally starting to settle in and be organised, so I can now do the registrations. Forms are attached to this post. I will also send out emails to the mailing list, if you want to be added to the mailing list, please send me a PM

Malcolm

Great stuff. Could I check Malcolm, I think I paid up my membership with the first camp this year?

I will be up with my son again at least one night so will probably do the same as last time, book a bunkhouse which will be shared with Andy but I will use a tent the night/s my son is with us so I can have him sleeping next to the field so I can keep on observing when he runs out of puff. If Andrew won't be able to attend I will release the bunkhouse for someone else, I will pay the bunkhouse cost either way.

Good to hear your move went ok. Looking forward to spending a couple of nights in SV. Got the forms downloaded, and some new gadgets to try out.
Cheers!

Just sent off my registration and payment for the four days.

We have had the Spirit of Tasmania booked for some time and we’ll visit family, VIC-SOUTH and then Snake Valley.

Looking forward to it.
