Hello,
As part of the preparation for the
ISS Lunar disc transit the next day (Sat 21st Nov 2015), I set up on the Friday night for a dry run and for 1st light of the ASI174MM.
I was so glad of this dress rehearsal as I was able to get the equipment configuration sorted out, establish the optimum settings for each set up and get to grips with the newly arrived ASI174MM.
Although these are test shots, I think they scrubbed up very well as the seeing was very good at the time. Tak 180 F12, Tak x1.6 Extender, ASI174MM ccd camera.
I’ve noticed that the dark tones tend to block up; not too sure if this is my processing or a property oh the higher dynamic range of the ASI174MM and the saving of the output as (compressed) jpgs?
Cheers
Dennis
