Now that I have processed out the best of the data from the 4th of August I have taken the time to learn the process of derotation in WinJupos. Essentially I have used 3 images over 9 minutes and used that data to create this image. The detail is sharper and less blurred near the limbs. I found the tutorial I used very easy to follow and to be honest wondered why I had not tried doing this in the past? Probably too lazy and too much on my plate at that time.
Great capture Paul, well resolved and as you mentioned, Winjupos does help maintain detail nearer the limbs. I don't use it anymore, as I have found the resolution produced by my 8 inch Newt is not detailed enough for the program to register frames to improve the image detail all that much. Using a 14 inch aperture is certainly worth running it through Winjupos. I just limit my captures to less than 3 mins and it gives a similar result registering the RGB channels by surface detail in PS.
