My new astronomy Shop in FNQ

Well, I am feeling a bit pleased with myself and I just had to let all my IIS mates know, as I have now opened my own Astronomy Shop in Cairns Far North Qld to support our long running online business.
Doing all things astronomy from a Star Disc to an observatory & some nice little sidelines such as Astro themed handmade Chocolates & Jewellery by my artistically talented Fiancé Rosanne who is managing the store. I am hoping we will have something for everyone
If your in Cairns, drop on by, we love getting visits from our fellow astronomers.

Yeah, but there's 100% cloud cover for 4 months of the year (The Wet) based on my experiences! (On the other hand, zero cloud for the rest of the year)

Good luck with the shop - I'll definitely visit next time I'm up there!

You would be surprized just how good wet season nights can be. When it does clear, the seeing and transparancy can be superb
Otherwise many FNQ astronomers are also weather watchers
