Mars and Saturn 29 August

29 August 2018 Mars, Jupiter and Saturn

ETX-105 with ZWO ASI120MC-S AS!3 and Registax 6 processing.

Jupiter I think (at 8.24pm) is showing the shadow of Io and very faintly to the top right the departure of Ganymede. A last minute addition but forgot to change the title!

Thanks for the compliment,

I have not been sure how I have been doing as I have not seen a lot of 100mm Mak images to compare mine with in this first season of imaging and processing. I do notice that Gibbs effect is always prominent in my Mars images in Registax even if I go easy on wavelet and sharpening.

Just to round things off a bit on the inner and outer of the planet line up

Here are Venus and Neptune from the 4/9. With Neptune given the fairly poor tracking at that time, I struggled to get the exposure right without smearing the image even worse. If we get some relief from wind and cloud here I might get another shot.
