That is plenty deep with fine details within the galaxy structure
What exposure time are you using with the camera? I got a QHY183M not too long ago but I haven't had a chance to take it under dark skies for RGB images yet.

Thanks Peter. In due course I'll be redoing this one with more attention to the flats and repost it but it won't be that much different. I love these galaxies with huge halos. So extensive.

I used 2 different lengths, 300 and 600 seconds. Mostly 600 seconds at -25C.

I know a lot of places say you don't need to go below -10C but that is only looking at dark noise. Read noise can also drop with temperature.

Nice detail in the galaxy Greg. The colour is good too. I am not sure about the background smoothing though. Perhaps a bit over done. It's on my list of targets but never seem to get it done.

I plan to do a repro on it. Unfortunately its too low for more data but I already have a lot plus some CDK data. Its not without flaws but basically I love the extent of the halo. A repro is coming when I have some time.
