Io's Shadow

Took a peep outside tonight around 8.30pm and saw patchy cloud but it was a mild night and I thought I'd still give Jupiter a go. Dragged the 8 inch Newt out with the Canon 550d attached and took a few video grabs in between clouds. I was lucky to capture Io's shadow and the GRS appearing on the limb before clouds rolled in. I managed four 90 second takes two of which had reasonable seeing.

You dodged the clouds well Mic.

Not a bad result.

I had a go at Jup night before last and all the subs ended up in the bin...
