A "Which is correct?" question.

Hello everyone, I have been away from these forums and this hobby for to long. I'm starting back into it and have a problem with some new software.
I upgraded from StarryNight 6 enthusiast to Starry Night 6 pro.

Both versions show the South Celestial pole in a different position??
Both have been set to Sydney Australia.

Not sure which is correct and why they show the difference?

Can someone take a look at the two screenshots provided and tell me which is correct for the south celestial poles position. And if anyone knows why the difference. I have no reply from the makers of the software and cannot find the software's forum.

The second shot (index) is the Pro version.

Thanks, any help appreciated.

One says "south celestial pole" and the other says "south ecliptic pole"
The south celestial pole is the one marked as such.

solved

All fixed. I had the Elliptic guides options open & expanded and the Celestial guides option partly minimized. Now I feel like a total goose ! LOL

Thanks for your eye in spotting that, I stared at it for an hour and failed to notice.

I must need sleep or a strong drink.

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

I received an offer via email to upgrade from enthusiast 6.3 to the Pro version for approx $50 US.

Do you think it is worth the cost?

Are the extra features really worth having?

Stu.

I received the same email offer which I accepted. So far it feels and looks the same as my Enthusiast 6. I mostly wanted the pro versions telescope control for my Goto telescope later this year. So unless you need it for the same reason I say don't waste your $50.
