May Photo Challenge - Comments & Notable Rejects

This is the thread for any comments that you would like to make about any of the submissions in this month's Photo Challenge.

Additionally, if you have any shots that you have taken on the subject, but didn't quite "make the cut", you can share them on this thread too.

This month's theme is "Oil and Water"

NB:
Just to let you know, in the next month I will be travelling in the outback, often with limited coverage. So bare with me and be patient if I am a bit late administering this challenge.

Well done and congratulations Suzy you seem to have it sorted, maybe the rest of us need to pull our socks up.

Four wins out of eight is pretty good going

Petrol comes from oil, ice comes from water

So based on your analysis Lewis, I could take a photo of beer in a plastic cup?

Tim, by pure chance, you might be voted the winner. Nice shot by the way!

Thank you so much Leon! I'm over the Moon with happiness with all the wins, along with a couple of seconds, it's been great encouragement while I'm learning. And because I'm learning, I guess I'm a bit of a Miss Try-hard .

Hi Peter , thank you!
Yes, isn't Tim's pic an absolute ripper .

Andy, hello, I really love your lava lamp, great work you're doing .

Hi everyone, here is one of my rejects.
Olive oil with blue and rose pink food colouring.

Boy oh boy that was such a fun challenge and a great learning experience. And messy .
This one was done in an oval shaped dish, so it's much better contained than the perspex I entered!

Peter.

Andy, thank you. I LOVE that purple and pink one, if I'd spotted it in the shops, dare I say it would've come home with me.
I'm very much into aqua-therapy, light-therapy and aroma-therapy. And toss in music with all that and this is what happens- my cat Chai is in heaven. All those combinations are pure bliss. I have a salt lamp as well, love the warm orange glow off it.

So here is another reject. Aroma-therapy.... it has oil and water, seen spewing out the hole. Snapped a couple of weeks ago.
