Quick astrophotography question...

Hi guys, just have a quick question for you prime focuser's out there. I am about to invest in a T-ring and adapter for my EOS400D and wanted to know if the HOTEC O-ringed 2 inch T-adapter is really worth the extra bucks or if a generic 2 inch T-adapter will do the job just fine? I'm just starting out.

Cheers
Ryan

Hi Ryan - certainly looks like it would eliminate any play or movement between the DSLR and the focuser. I would suggest getting it - for astrophotography it's desirable to remove as many weak points in the imaging chain as possible.
All the best
Doug

Ryan, Doug is spot on with his suggestion, the less movement, in any of the imaging train the better, get the best you can afford, then if things don't go so well, you know it is not the gear.

Thanks Leon. I'll get the good-en. Though, with my ability, I can never blame the gear
