Solar proms Mar 7

March 7th. A nice set of prominences on the Sun this morning. This single exposure pic was taken thru a SMII60 mm scope with a Canon 550d.

You got a good display of proms there, did you use a Barlow or similar to get that magnification of detail, or is it just cropped down a lot? I haven't tried using my Nikon D800 yet as I thought the image size would be too small on the big sensor.

Thanks for reply. I use a Hyperion wide angle 17 mm eyepiece. Camera attaches directly on it. Cheers, John W.
