All bright planets visible in the evening to end Aug

It does not happen very often, but is worth a look when these planets are all visible in the early evening.

Venus has returned to visibility in the evening, higher up is the fainter Mercury (which is brighter than the nearby Regulus), then Jupiter, Mars and Saturn.

Venus and Jupiter will be in a close conjunction on August 27th & 28th.

Finally had some clear skys early-mid evening on Monday 15th, and was able to sight all five planets. It was satisfying to be able to tick them all off after weeks of near total cloud cover!

Darren.
